The objective of the Business Issues committee is to monitor, analyze and prioritize public policy issues which impact Chamber membership and the Flagler County business community. All members of this committee must be current members of the Flagler County Chamber.
The Flagler County Chamber is led by an all-volunteer, 23-member Board of Directors, made up of committed, visionary business leaders who deeply care about the success of Flagler County businesses and the local community. The group is the policy-making body of the Flagler Chamber and directs the Chamber's programs, products and policies.
Where Business and Benefits Meet! The CBC (Chamber Business Connectors) is a group of local businesses committed to excellent service, knowing and growing our community as well as participating in community building initiatives.
This committee meets and plans the annual Corporate Challenge every year in the spring. If you are interested in joining this committee, contact Tiffany Edwards, Tiffany@flaglerchamber.org
In 2013, the Chamber rolled out a program to increase member involvement, recruitment and retention. The Membership Committee invited a select group of members to participate in the Chamber Diplomat Program. Members were selected based on their professionalism, enthusiasm and collaboration they have demonstrated in promoting and expanding chamber membership. These members have learned how to maximize their membership and are willing to not only teach, but to motivate other members to do the same. Diplomats help current members reconnect and step up their involvement, while also welcoming and engaging new members. Diplomats represent the Chamber at local events such as Business After Hours, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, breakfasts, luncheons and other functions. Through their involvement, Diplomats promote the Chamber, encourage member engagement and enhance the overall member experience.
The Economic Alliance Council Interacts with and provides input to local government partners and the Flagler County Dept. of Economic Opportunity regarding economic development issues. All members of this committee must be current members of the Flagler County Chamber.
Leadership Flagler, a program of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce, develops leaders to maximize their ability and desire to become involved and help Flagler County thrive. The three-month program focuses on several aspects of the community including: business, government, health & human services, art & culture, agriculture and growth management. Through education and networking, Leadership Flagler provides tools and experiences necessary to the development of well-rounded community leaders. Leadership Flagler participants must commit to a high standard of attendance and participation in all sessions. Absence from more than two days of class will result in termination from the program. In addition, each class is expected to plan and implement a community service project prior to graduation. Class sessions are scheduled on Wednesday mornings, generally from 8:30AM to noon.
The committee's purpose is to define, develop and deploy a marketing communications strategy for the Chamber that accomplishes the following objectives: Outreach to the community, maintain a segmented database of residents, businesses and gov't to receive communication; as well as support and promote the membership as well as Chamber initiatives.
