Flagler Chamber Launches Leadership Flagler 25
Palm Coast, FL – The Flagler County Chamber recently welcomed its 25th class of community leaders as part of Leadership Flagler, a program that nurtures and engages the leadership skills of potential and current community leaders. The three-month program deepens participants’ understanding of Flagler County, its issues and opportunities, and encourages graduates to take active roles as stewards and advocates for positive change. In addition, a scholarship was provided, thanks to a generous donation by S.E. Cline Construction.

The program kicked off February 20 with a reception and working session for participants at the chamber and, the following day, class members attended their first session – Education Day at Matanzas High School. The first week closed out on Feb 24 with the group meeting at YMCA Camp Winona in DeLeon Springs for a day on the ropes course. The class meets Wednesday mornings from 8:30am until 12:30pm at various locations throughout the county, exploring topics that include tourism, local government, health and social services, arts and culture, the education system, agriculture, emergency services, economic development, and criminal justice.
Leadership Flagler is one of nearly 700 programs nationwide devoted to shaping high-profile community leaders. Since its start in 1993, Leadership Flagler has graduated more than 250 professionals.
