Allen Goodman, Chairman of The Board for the Flagler Chamber of Commerce announces that Jorge Gutierrez, President & CEO has tendered his resignation effective September 13,2019.
"Jorge has decided to pursue other business opportunities at this time". On behalf of the Board of Directors, Goodman thanked Gutierrez for the outstanding job he has done directing the Chamber efforts which will position the organization for future growth and economic benefit going forward.
Under Jorge's leadership as President & CEO, the Chamber has experienced an increase in membership (+15%) year over year while membership retention has reached its highest level in over a decade.
The Chamber has formed a new task force that will implement new processes and continue the momentum moving forward under the direction of Mark Langello, Chair-Elect. The task force will focus on key pillars of the Chambers operations including membership, leadership, programs and government affairs.
The Chamber Board of Directors plan is to replace the position with an experienced chamber industry person. In the interim following Jorge's departure on September 27th, Allen Goodman, Chairman of The Board will serve as interim President & CEO working closely with The Board of Directors to continue operations until a new President & CEO has been identified and hired.
