The program will include a keynote presentation from Jeff Sheffield, Executive Director for the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization about integrating smart technologies to optimize efficiencies of city operations, transportation systems, water systems, hospitals, schools and other community services.
In addition to a keynote presentation, Helga van Eckert, executive director for the Flagler County Department of Economic Opportunity will moderate a panel discussion to include the cities of Bunnell, Flagler Beach and Palm Coast as well as Flagler County government on how these municipalities are implementing smart technologies.
According to the Chamber’s President Jorge Gutierrez, the Smart Community luncheon is being provided as an educational opportunity for our communities to showcase how they are already leading the way by utilizing cutting edge technologies to further evolve infrastructures.
“Our approach will be holistically to show what a ‘Smart Community’ is and incorporate businesses into the discussion on how they are improving processes towards efficiencies.”
